Email Encryption
North American Risk Services, Inc. (NARS) values our customers’ privacy and is committed to keeping their personal data secure. To further strengthen our data protection capabilities, NARS has updated our data loss prevention policies in Office 365 to encrypt any email that is determined to contain sensitive information. These emails will be encrypted and protected from unintended recipients viewing the data.
Starting July 1st, 2019, you may receive emails from NARS that are encrypted. Please read through the FAQs below for instructions and answers on how to deal with encrypted emails. Many businesses, including banks and credit card companies, use similar solutions, so it might already be familiar to you.

1. How does this change affect me?
The majority of emails from NARS will open and view as normal. A small percentage of email recipients will be receiving an encrypted email. Email is encrypted either manually by the sender choosing to encrypt or automatically by our Office 365 Data Loss Prevention email policies.
2. How do I view an encrypted protected email message?

3. Do I need to install any software to view an email sent using Office 365 OME?
No software needs to be installed.
