Basic information for the letter jobs:

  • Open Claim Age (days) – number must be at least ‘1’ if you want the job to send a letter on the day the claim is created – if the is opened and closed on the same day (before the job runs) the claim will be ignored
  • Time Interval – Job typically runs Monday -> Friday – therefore this value will usually be ‘1’ ‘Days’ – when the job runs on Monday, it looks for all claims created since Friday (not since the job ran – therefore it is imperative for the job to run late in the evening, not mid-day
  • Start Date / End Date – when setting up the job, the From/To dates are typically the same day – however, if you needed to ‘catch up’ you could set the ‘Start Date’ as the first of the month and the ‘End Date’ as today – then when the job has an interval of once daily, tomorrow when the job runs it will look for claims created that day
  • Send Log File to Email – where the log file for the job is emailed
  • Abort on Errors – if the job runs into errors it will not run again the next day
  • Policy Number – We can limit the job to look for only specific policy number(s) – comma separated – null = all
    • Currently this field is an exact match – we have a request in to change it to allow wildcards
  • Exclude Radio Button for Policy Number – Works with the ‘Policy Number’ field if we wanted to exclude specific policy number(s) – comma separated
  • State Code – Can be EITHER the loss state OR the Policy Risk State
  • Line Code – works similar to the Policy Number field – can list specific ASLs – comma separated, null = all
  • Exclude Radio Button for Line Code – Works with the ‘Line Code’ field
  • Client Code – List of C3 Client Code(s) – comma separated
  • Location Code – List of C3 Client Location Code(s) – null = all (*note – if you list more than a single ‘Client Code’ then you should not use this field)
  • Party Type – Pick List for party type you want the letter to be Associated to (Letters in C3 are party-centric – not claim centric – this means the party MUST exist on the claim when the job runs) – this does not mean who the letter is going to be sent to unless specified in below in specific jobs.
  • Claim Type – Used to limit what type of claims the job looks to send letters for – comma separated
