1. Sign into Okta normally. Then access your Settings by clicking the drop-down arrow next to your name in the top-right corner of your screen and clicking Settings.

  1. If you see a green button to the top right of your settings that says, “Edit Profile”, click that button to enable editing. Then, scroll down to the Extra Verification section at the bottom right of the window. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Click the “Set up” button to the right of Okta Verify in the Extra Verification section.

  1. Choose your phone type on the next screen (iPhone or Android).  


 

  1. Download the Okta Verify app from either the App Store (iPhone) or the Google Play Store (Android). The icon of the app should match the blue circle and checkmark icon shown in the image to the right. 

 

  1. Once the app is downloaded onto your cell phone, click Next in the Okta window. 

 

 

 

 



  1. Open the Okta Verify app on your phone and press “Get Started”, “Next”, “Add account, “Organization”, “Skip”, and “Yes, Ready to Scan”. Then, allow the app to have access to your camera. Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code in your browser (NOT in the image to the left). Then press “Allow” to let the app send you push notifications. If your phone prompts you to allow push notifications again, press Allow again. Then click Done on the next screen.
