Reset Okta Verify on New Devices
Okta Verify adds another layer of protection for NARS data by having users verify their identity by approving push notification in the app or by entering a one-time code provided by the app in Okta. Follow the steps below to reset Okta Verify on new devices.
The process starts with the device that already has the Okta Verify account. Begin the set-up process BEFORE setting up a new device with Okta.
Remove Okta Verify
Prior to setting up a new device, remove Okta Verify using your old device.
- Sign into Okta using your username, password, and Okta Verify on your old device.
- In the top right corner of the screen, click your name and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- If present, click the green Edit Profile button in the top-right corner of the screen and verify your Okta password.
- Scroll down to Extra Verification located at bottom right corner of the page. Click Remove in the Okta Verify section. Then, click Yes to confirm this choice.
If you already have your new phone, stay on this screen, and click Set up next to Okta Verify to begin the setup process. If you do not have your new phone yet, the next time you sign into Okta, follow the prompts to set up Okta Verify on the new device.
