Good afternoon!
We are providing a visual enhancement for your Microsoft Teams video background! This will make our communication, especially with external users, more professional and visually appealing while in a video chat or meeting.
First, we need to get this enhancement to our users. So please make sure you are accessing NARS via VPN. To do so, click on your network access icon on the lower right taskbar.
A menu will appear. At the top should be Always On VPN (AOVPN) and it should say “Connected”.
If not connected, click AOVPN and click the Connect button.
Later this afternoon, IT will push a file to your desktop called “Teams Background”. Notice this appears backwards to you. Not to worry, this will look perfect to people on your video chats!
To get this into your backgrounds library, you need to be in a “Teams meeting”. So, buddy up with someone on your team and you can walk each other through!
When you are in a meeting, click on the 3 dots on the upper part of the screen. This “More” option will open a new menu. Select “Apply background effects”.
Click “Add New”
This will open a folder. Click “Desktop” then locate the file called “Teams Background” and double-click. This will import the file to your background effects.
Select the Teams Background and “Apply” and you will see your new background!
